Empowered by an Uttermost Love, John 13.1-15
On the night that Jesus was betrayed, he took time to wash his disciples’ feet and through that to teach them that they are to love one another. He also later took bread and broke it and a cup of wine and gave it to them. This act is the first Eucharist. On Maundy Thursday we remember these actions by Jesus and what they mean for us today.
All Hail the Bread King, John 6.1-15
How do we respond to Jesus’ multiplying the loaves and fishes? What was the meaning of it then? How do we understand it for today? Pride and Humility, Luke 14.1, 7-14
Jesus speaks a parable about people vying for places of honor instead of considering others of higher standing than themselves. The source of this behavior is pride and the answer to it is humility. How does one, though, accomplish, humility? Can it be done in your own strength or must Another accomplish it for you that you might live in humbleness?

Four Pastoral and Educational Affirmations: Holy Communion
We continue our study of the ACNA-NALC Four Pastoral and Education Affirmations. We consider our agreement upon how we understand Holy Communion, also known as the Eucharist and the Lord’s Supper. Father Jeremiah and Pastor Jason lead us through the study explaining what God is doing in our midst when we receive the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ through the bread and wine.
Bread that Gives Life, John 6.35-51
We continue in Jesus' Bread of Life Discourse this week. What is Jesus wanting us to understand about his teaching? What does he call for us to do? Do I come to Him of my own accord?
